FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Future Image AND I3A announce SECOND EXECUTIVE SUMMIT Event to Take Place October 27-29 in Monterey, Calif. LAS VEGAS – Feb. 12, 2004 – Future Image, the leading independent center of expertise on the convergence of imaging, technology, and business, and the I3A (International Imaging Industry Association), the leading global association for the imaging industry, are pleased to announce their second annual executive conference focused on the Mobile Imaging revolution. The “Mobile Imaging Summit 2004 – Exploring the Camera-Phone Ecosystem” conference in Monterey, Calif., October 27-29, will focus on business opportunities throughout the fast-growing ecosystem generated by the dynamic camera-phone phenomenon: devices, services, media and content, across the consumer and business markets. “Analysts in our WIRE (Wireless Imaging Research Edition) continuous information service estimate that, as early as next year (2005), four out of five image capture devices in use worldwide will be camera-phones,” said Alexis Gerard, president, Future Image Inc. “When hundreds of millions of people become equipped with network-enabled image capture devices that they have with them at all times, you have a fundamental change in both imaging and communication -- and in the associated business opportunities.” “Our Mobile Imaging Summits are unique opportunities for the key executives in our industry to come together to engage in thought stimulating exchange with each other on the camera phone phenomenon,” said Lisa Walker, I3A president. “They will take back to their organizations new ideas for mobile imaging solutions and new connections that will ensure their companies are at the forefront of this market. The Mobile Imaging Summit is on track to become the de facto center of this industry.” The Mobile Imaging Summit conferences are limited attendance events open to senior executives (CEO, CTO, CMO, VPs and product line directors). The attendance list draws from the imaging, information technology and telecommunications industries. The content, venue and amenities are all carefully designed to maximize opportunities for participants to identify areas of mutual business advantage, and to make the high-level connections that enable market leadership and competitive advantage. Sessions are conducted in the interactive format that is the hallmark of Future Image’s executive events, highlighting key issues and promoting discussion by industry-leading participants both onstage and off. This year’s event builds on the acclaim received by the initial Mobile Imaging Summit, held in November 2003 and sponsored by Forbes Magazine, Hewlett-Packard, Do Labs, Eastman Kodak, LightSurf, Nokia, SanDisk and Webshots. In addition to an opening Visionary Roundtable, the 2004 Summit will feature focused discussion of each of the seven key business opportunity areas taking shape in the Mobile Imaging ecosystem, and a New Technologies showcase for emerging companies.
