Announces the Mobile Imaging Report Service
Updated Market Research Service Covers Rapidly
Emerging Industry
San Mateo, CA USA — August 11, 2004 — Today
Future Image, Inc. announced the launch of the
Mobile Imaging Report service (MIR), a set of
resources that covers the exploding camera-phone
industry with in-depth news, market research and
personal consultation. This is an update to its
continuous information service previously known as
the Future Image WIRE.
MIR is the latest research service from Future
Image, Inc., the world's leader in market research,
conferences and consultation regarding digital
imaging.
Designed for executives and product managers in the
wireless communications, digital imaging and
associated industries, the MIR service provides a
weekly collection of news stories and analysis, a
database of over 3,500 archived articles, six
in-depth reports each year on key issues in the
industry, and private consultation with MIR's editor
and lead analyst, Tony Henning.
Mr. Henning has 35 years of experience in visual
communication — 20 years as a successful commercial
photographer, 10 years as a developer of visual
asset management software, and five years as an
analyst and consultant with Future Image. His 2001
report “Wireless Imaging – Overcoming the
Challenges” identified and defined the new industry
– long before it became a global phenomenon. His
2002 report “The Camera-phone Phenomenon” was first
to point out that camera-phones were about to become
the most widely-used image capture devices in
history.
"Today's mobile imaging executives are finding it
increasingly difficult to keep up with developments
in this rapidly-changing field," said Mr. Henning.
"Our sources are varied and often unique, including
translated newswires, articles, and market research
from sources in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and
Scandinavia, and conversations with our network of
colleagues – analysts, investors, and executives at
the key companies in the field"
The MIR covers companies and products at the
forefront of the industry, as well as announcements
and research activities that point to significant
developments and trends, even though they might be
"below the radar" of most executives. Companies
covered include well-known leaders like Nokia,
Motorola, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Intel, Micron,
OmniVision, LightSurf, OpenWave, HP, IBM, Philips,
Symbian, Microsoft, PalmSource, Sprint, DoCoMo, and
Vodafone as well as up-and-coming firms like DO
Labs, Scalado, Bellamax, SMI, Sozotek, Varioptic,
and 1 Limited.
Subscription prices range from $3,500 to $12,500 per
year. Details are available at the web site
http://www.mobileimagingreport.com or by

Mobile Imaging Summit
Future
Image also produces limited-attendance executive
conferences for decision makers designed to bring
key mobile imaging industry leaders together to
discuss topics relevant to the advancement of the
industry in a setting that is conducive to
non-interrupted networking. The content, venue, and
amenities are carefully designed to maximize
opportunities for participants to identify areas of
mutual business advantage, and to make the
high-level connections necessary for market
leadership and competitive advantage. Sessions are
conducted in an interactive format that promotes
exchanges among participants both onstage and off.
The 2004 session of the Mobile Imaging Summit
feature venue in Monterey CA (October 28/29, focus
on North America). For more information please see
